About your Team

We currently have two openings for two of our products. You will be part of a scrum team that specializes in the FTI Group’ s BedBank.

They distribute thousands of rooms offers and handle around 100,000,000 million transactions per day on an exciting modern technology stack.

The stack we use is comprised of .NET Core, C#, Java, and Angular following a microservices architecture. In a nutshell, as a team, we love working closely together and believe in true teamwork collaboration, meaning that we are not afraid to dig our hands in unknown “territories” and offer our help to other team members. Our everyday schedule is full of great staff and we have lots of serious technical challenges to crack from scratch.


About your Role

Being a Software Engineer in Test, your focus will be on having ownership of and self-managing your own work, acting proactively regarding testing needs and more specifically:

  • Design and Implement both manual and automation tests with an orientation in creating automation (e.g. e2e, API, and database testing).
  • Conduct API testing, create and execute database queries to validate testing results.
  • Maintain and extend our suite of processes, tools, and tests using automation to ensure the delivery of quality software
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases with a strong emphasis on automation in order to solve technical challenges and make the test cycle as short as possible.
  • Review requirements and technical specifications.
  • Estimate and prioritize testing activities, as you will be fully in charge of our testing needs.
  • Proactively bring issues and problems to the attention of your team, while proposing and implementing innovative solutions to solve them.
  • Improve test procedures, methodologies, and tools.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs.
  • Effectively organize your own work and be aware of how to spend your time efficiently to get stuff done.
  • Collaborate heavily with other team members (they love to share their knowledge and solve problems together).

What you need to have

  • Strong working knowledge of testing fundamentals such as TDD & BDD.
  • Solid experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated tests using a variety of tools like CypressSelenium, Cucumber,  Gherkin, and TestNG.
    If you have experience or have experimented with the Cypress framework (we currently migrating from Selenium to Cypress) it would be awesome.
  • Very good knowledge of REST API testing.
  • Experience with Postman.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Exposure to SQL queries.
  • Good understanding of JavaScriptJava, or OOP.
  • Experience with GitLab or Jenkins and Jira.
  • Eager to learn and experiment with new technologies and new standards.
  • Good communication skills in English both written and spoken.
  • A sharing-knowledge-with-other-team-members attitude.
